Information handled by the application
Accounts use an email address and email verification. Alert and monitoring settings associate products and target prices with an account. Feedback asks for a name and message and sends them by email. Comments and submitted deals can appear publicly after the applicable moderation steps.
The application records searches and some actions with an IP address and timestamp. Price alerts and verification use email delivery. Product searches use the product database; the separate phone lookup can contact external lookup services.
Browser storage
Protected local browser storage remembers the signed-in email and votes. Session storage remembers browse dates, reading positions and navigation state. These features support account restoration and browsing continuity.
